ANCHOR PAMOJA LLC (the “Company”) is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for its users.  Our Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide and assist you in making informed decisions when using our Service. For purposes of this Agreement, “Site” refers to the Company’s mobile application and website while, “Service” refers to the Company’s services which can be accessed via the site  and  mobile application, in which users can;

  • Create a user account to access AnchorPamoja services
  • Create a group
  • Make Payments
  • Access events listing
  • Receive and access contribution statements for their accounts
  • Access any other services provided on the platforms

The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Company.

“You” refers to you, as a user of our Site and/or Service.

By accessing our Site and/or our Service, you accept our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (found here:https://anchorpamoja.com/privacypolicy/ ) and consent to our collection, storage, contact, use and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. Anchor Pamoja reserves the right to change the present privacy policy through information published on the platform’s website (www.anchorpamoja.com) to improve, adapt or update it to conform to legislative or jurisprudential changes.

IMPORTANT:  The registration and subsequent browsing and use of Anchor Pamoja depends on the acceptance of these privacy policy provisions. If the user does not agree with any conditions set out, it is recommended that the user exit the app or page without making the registration.

What Information Do We Collect

Anchor Pamoja reserves the right to collect and store the data entered during the registration process and, later, during the registration of additional information by the user. We collect “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.”

Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and the number of clicks.

Personal Information includes your name, email, gender, phone, city, state, zip code and address, which you submit to us through the registration process on the Anchor Pamoja platform.  This information is being used to create your account, authentication functionality, account management and communication with you through calls, emails, SMS, or notifications for any updates that might need Anchor Pamoja to contact you directly.  

Financial Data; Financial data that can be collected from your bank account, debit or credit card connected to your Anchor Pamoja Account or entered manually by you as information related to contributions made towards your groups or events.

Banking Data:  Data requested to connect our platform with your bank account and credit cards. The information may include; bank code, bank account number, merchant, credit card number, expiration date, security code and so on. The banking integration will be purely used to authorize and automate transaction posts to your anchor Pamoja account; The Banking Integration may be interrupted by you at any time.

  1. Information Collected ViaTechnology

To activate the Service, you do not need to submit any Personal Information other than your name, phone and email address. To use the Service after that, you need to submit further Personal Information [which may include:  your name, email, gender, phone, city, state, zip code and address ]. However, to improve the quality of the Service, we track information provided to us by your browser or by our software application when you view or use the Service, such as the website you came from (known as the “referring URL”), the type of browser you use, the device from which you connected to the Service, the time and date of access, and other information that does not personally identify you. We track this information using cookies or small text files, which include a unique anonymous identifier. Cookies are sent to a user’s browser from our servers and are stored on the user’s computer hard drive. Sending a cookie to a user’s browser enables us to collect non-personal information about that user and keep a record of the user’s preferences when utilizing our services on an individual and aggregate basis. For example, the Company may use cookies to collect the following information:

  • Browser
  • Device type and characteristics
  • IP number of network device accessing
  • Data and hour accessed
  • Information about clicks and preferences of browsing
  • Geolocation
  • Features of Anchor Pamoja visited
  • How much time is spent on a page/feature.

The Company may use both persistent and session cookies; persistent cookies remain on your computer after you close your session and until you delete them, while session cookies expire when you close your browser.

  1. Information You Provide Us By Registering For An Account

In addition to the information provided automatically by your browser when you visit the Site, you will need to create a personal profile to become a subscriber to the Service.  . You can create a profile by registering with the Service and entering your name, email address, phone and creating a username and a password. By registering, you authorize us to collect, store and use your contact information per this Privacy Policy.

The personal information collected may also be used in forming your financial profile, which will help us customize the platform’s features according to your interests and deliver services that may interest you.

How We Use and Share Information

Personal Information: Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Information with third parties without your consent. We share Personal Information with vendors performing services for the Company, such as the servers for our SMS and email communications, who are provided access to the user’s contact information to send communication from us. Those vendors use your Personal Information only at our direction and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Your data may be used for the following;

  • Send to the user communications about Anchor Pamoja and its services
  • Send user statements
  • Improve the website and application mobile device experience
  • Send content through SMS, email, newsletters and other communications related to Anchor Pamoja, making available to the user at any time to express objection to any currently available services or communications.
  • Provide assistance when needed;
  • Research and recommendation of financial services relevant to your profile
  • Access credit card bills and make automated posts of transactions in Anchor Pamoja
  • Perform commercial activities, operational and statistics;
  • Create alerts and events
  • Issue reports and analytics of user contributions

We may share Personal Information with outside parties if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to meet any applicable legal process or enforceable governmental request; to enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations; address fraud, security or technical concerns; or to protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Non-Personal Information:  Generally, we use Non-Personal Information to help improve the Service and customize the user experience. We also aggregate Non-Personal Information to track trends and analyze use patterns on the Site. This Privacy Policy does not limit our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information; we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners, advertisers and other third parties at our discretion.

If we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy. Any acquirer of our assets may continue to process your Personal Information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. If our information practices change at any time, we will post the policy changes to the Site so that you may opt out of the new information practices. We suggest you check the Site periodically if you are concerned about how your information is used.

How We protect Data/Information

We implement security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access. Your account password protects your account. We urge you to keep your personal information safe by not disclosing your password and take steps to keep your personal information safe by not disclosing your password and logging out of your account after each use. We further protect your information from potential security breaches by implementing certain technological security measures, including encryption, firewalls and secure socket layer technology, in addition to being processed and stored in servers of high-level security standards. However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by a breach of such firewalls and secure server software. By using our Service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.

Children’s Privacy

The Anchor Pamoja Site and anchor Pamoja apps or services are not directed to anyone under the age of 13. The Site does not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13 or allow anyone under the age of 13 to sign up for the Service. If we learn that we have gathered personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without the consent of a parent or guardian, we will delete that information as soon as possible. Email & SMS Marketing Policy

You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes.  When we send promotional communication to a user, the user can opt out of further promotional communications by following the unsubscribe/opt-out instructions provided in each promotional message. Please note that notwithstanding the promotional preferences you indicate by either unsubscribing or opting out, we may continue to send you administrative emails, including but not limited to periodic updates to our Privacy Policy.

Your Rights Regarding the Use of your Personal Information

You have certain rights and guarantees related to your personal data.  Anchor Pamoja ensures that our platform subscribers have clarity and transparency of their data. In addition to detailing in this policy how the platform uses and protects your personal data, it provides an easy and free channel to you to exercise your rights;

  • To request information about the treatment of your personal data: You can confirm if we have treated your personal data and request access or correction if existing inaccurate data; to require a list of all agents with whom we have shared your data;
  • Portability: You have the right to request the migration of your personal information to other organizations;
  • To require the exclusion or anonymization of your personal data: You have the right to ask for anonymization or the definitive exclusion of your data if they prove unnecessary or excessive regarding the purpose of the treatment or in case of being treated in disagreement with the GDPR.
  • Withdrawal of consent: you have the right to know the consequences of refusing the provision of consent related to the treatment of your personal information and require the withdrawal of it.
    • If you request the exclusion of all the data entered by you on Anchor Pamoja through email or website, this will result in losing access to  Anchor Pamoja’s functionality and later restoration of it, except those data that the storage is required by law. If the User was using the Premium account after requiring the exclusion, a new payment will be necessary to restore it.
  • The Data Privacy and Protection law that applies to the data collection that belongs to a natural person grants various rights related to personal information. The rights include;
    • Right to access: to require information about your personal data;
    • Right to rectification: You may also contact us via email to request the rectification of any personal information that belongs to you;
    • Right to exclusion: to request that we delete any personal information that we have in our database or our partners’ database;
    • Right to restriction: to request the restriction of processing the personal data that we maintain related to you;
    • Right to portability: you may request to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable form. You also have the right to demand that we transmit it to another data controller;
    • Right to objection: you may challenge the processing of your personal data;
    • Right to withdrawal of consent: you may withdraw your consent related to using your personal data.

Links to Other Sites

As part of the Service, we may provide links to or compatibility with other websites or applications. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the Site and the Service. Therefore, this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of a third-party website accessed by selecting a link on our Site or via our Service. To the extent that you access or use the Service through or on another website or application, then the privacy policy of that other website or application will apply to your access or use of that site or application. We encourage our users to read the privacy statements of other websites before proceeding to use them.

How Long Do We Retain Your Data

Your data will be kept in our databases  during the period that you remain registered on our platforms, afterward only within the legally stipulated period. For users that register on our platforms, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Changes to Our privacy policy

The Company reserves the right to change this policy and our Terms of Service at any time.  We will notify you of significant changes to our Privacy Policy by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account or by placing a prominent notice on our site. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. You should periodically check the Site and this privacy page for updates.
